Thick Tomato Soup

This is a thick tomato soup recipe from my mother.

Ingredients

Preparation

  1. On low heat mix 3 tablespoons of oil and 3 tablespoons of flour together with garlic powder and pepper until the flour turns yellow-brown.

  2. Remove from the heat and let it cool slightly.

  3. Slowly add cold or lukewarm water while constantly stirring so lumps do not form.

  4. Once you get a smooth mixture, return the soup to low heat and cook while stirring until it boils for about 10 minutes.

  5. Add noodles, tomato sauce, oregano and more pepper or garlic powder if needed.

  6. Cook for a few more minutes until the noodles soften.

Tip

Be careful not to burn the soup on high heat because it contains flour.

Add more salt or sugar if needed.
